So in the dock, the ship using a rope as process aids until the ship docked really bonded well and safely. With the hope when the ship tied up with a good and secure the loading and unloading process runs smoothly and safely. In fact, the implementation of the working rope frequent workplace accidents caused by human factors, material factors, and environmental factors. The human factor is very dominant as the main factor for the dock and offshore berthing process is a lot less maintenance equipment, ropes used less maintenance and tie-mooring patterns being applied is not appropriate. With reference to the provisions of the ISM Code and OCIMF Mooring Equipment Guidelines, in which to discuss about cord care, patterns of connective-mooring, as well as maintenance support equipment and offshore berthing berthing process. The care and use of appropriate on the ropes and then the process of berthing equipment will run smoothly and safely, in addition to providing an understanding of the importance of safety in people who participated in the work of the rope. So understanding it makes the man is aware of the use of safety equipment, equipment maintenance work, to understand the patterns of employment and working conditions. In this study, the authors apply comparative descriptive research methods. The purpose of such methods is explained, describe, and explain the results of a study of the object as it is according to the results of research in the field by comparing several objects, and does not draw conclusions or decisions in general. The primary data obtained directly from the object in the field, and secondary data obtained from litertur maritime and downloaded at the website maritime address.
