Abstract

Role of Marine Inspector in Class II Tanjungpinang Port Authority and Port Authority Office Against Safety and Security of Ships The responsibility of the Tanjungpinang Port Authority and Port Authority Office is to guarantee the safety and security of the ship.is a government official in the port who is appointed by the Minister of Transportation and has the highest authority to carry out and supervise compliance with the provisions of legislation to guarantee the feasibility of the ship's sea before shipping. Shipbuilding feasibility is the condition of the ship that meets material requirements, construction, building, machinery and electricity, stability, arrangement and auxiliary equipment and radio equipment, ship navigation equipment, which is proven by a certificate after inspection and testing, a KSOP must have a Marine Inspector. Marine Inspector is a ship safety inspection officer who has followed and passed the education and training of the ship safety inspection officer and has been confirmed. The purpose of this paper is to determine the role of the Marine Inspector in the Tanjungpinang Port II Class Authority and Port Authority Office on the Feasibility of Ship Safety. The data collection method used is field research that uses observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation methods. The results of this paper that the role of the Marine Inspector in the Tanjungpinang Port II Transportation and Infrastructure Office for Ship Safety Feasibility is very important in ensuring the feasibility and safety of the ship.
