Abstract
Indonesia is a country that is part of the ocean and consists of several islands. Therefore sea transportation is very important to connect islands. One means of sea transportation is sea transportation in the form of ships. A shipping company operates its ships from the port one other port, so the shipping company must take care of the ship that is operated when at the port that it stops. The activity takes care of all the ship's needs starting from the arrival of the ship, documents that must be managed and completed when at the port until the time of departure. The purpose of the observations made by the author is to find out the handling system for the arrival and departure of passenger ships by PT. ALP Lampung Semarang Branch. Methods of Collection Data used by the authors in this observation is in the form of books, internet, laws, Ministerial regulations, and other sources. The type of observation used by the author is qualitative descriptive. This observation took place at PT. ALP Lampung Semarang Branch. Data sources are obtained from informants (informants), events or activities, documents and archives. The results obtained from the author do is the service of the arrival and departure of the Ro-ro vessel carried out by PT. ALP Lampung Semarang Branch at Tanjung Emas Port Semarang. Broadly speaking, the ship arrival and departure service systems and procedures begin before the ship arrives, when the ship arrives from preparation to implementation, before the ship departs from preparation to implementation, when the ship departs, and documents needed when handling arrival and departure ships and related institutions during activities at the port.
