Abstract

The current state of many service users both sender and consignee are disappointed with stevedoring services at the port because of the many risks associated with the goods delivered by the service users, resulting in losses.The aim of this study were to determine the process of unloading of ships loaded with bulk up the process of loading cargo from the ship to the plant and the documents to be prepared in the process of unloading of a ship loaded with bulk.The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collected from the primary data and secondary data. Primary data is the result of the field survey and secondary data through library research and corporate data. Data collection techniques used literature study, observation, interviews and review of literature. The results indicated that,before the ship docked and then unloading, it should be prepared from the Kapa is to check the hold of each hatch in the ship, preparing tools that support for the loading at the port, for example, (belt conveyors, cranes, appliance filter to the truck, and nets) as well as those tools should do regular maintenance, so as not to endanger the lives of workers at the time of loading and unloading activities are ongoing.The the documents are very important or very influential on bulk cargo at the time of unpacking is: Delivery Order (DO), Exit Letter from the Director General of Customs Goods local agencies, permit dock of PT. IPC in the local area, and the Letter of BARANTAN (Quarantine) in order to check whether the cargo to be unloaded to contain a deadly virus or not.The process of loading of the ship bulk cargo to the plant using modes of transport trucks, the first company Stevedoring (PBM ) must get a permit from the police concerned, after the weighing in charge at scales that have been provided by the port, and the latter got the letter left the port by PT.
