Abstract
Important role of marine inspector for supporting the seaworthiness of motorized boat vessels for fisherman and their safety at juwana – pati port operator unit (UPP) The role of ships as a means of sea transportation is very necessary to support the even distribution of the level of economic progress, the State of Indonesia which consists of islands has a fairly wide coastal area, so that the majority of coastal residents mostly work as fishing fishermen. the ship has not run optimally, therefore the role of the government is needed as an effort to maintain the feasibility of the ship for the safety of the crew. The causes of frequent marine accidents on fishing motorboats are very diverse, so that there will be strict sanctions for boat owners and fishermen boat masters who are supervised directly by the Marine Inspector in accordance with their functions and objectives. resulting in the large number of ships not getting sailing permits or delays due to not fulfilling sea-worthiness factors, Supervision and inspection conducted by the Marine Inspector aims to maintain the smooth sea traffic and safety of the fishermen's motorbike crew based on applicable aspects of sea worthiness.
