Abstract
Indonesia is an agrarian country that is rich in a variety of biological natural resources. These biological natural resources need to be protected and preserved from a variety of threats, including threats of disturbance and damage caused by harmful plant-disturbing organisms. must be checked in quarantine and joint handling between government agencies based on Law No. 16 of 1992 concerning Plant Quarantine. Quarantine is a place of exile and acts as an effort to prevent the entry and spread of pests and diseases or disturbing organisms from abroad and from one area to another area within the country, or from the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of this scientific research is to know and understand the role of ship officers what can be done to help smooth the implementation of loading and unloading of plant species related to plant quarantine at the port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang. Method of preventing the entry and spread of plant-disturbing organisms by means of 8P.
