Abstract
In general, the fresh water supply on merchant ships is made in a conventional system by filling clean water to the fresh water tank from the harbour. In this final project will be analyse in the technical and economical on the design of fresh water system by using a Fresh Water Generator system on the vessel MT. Tanker Victory PT.Waruna Nusa Sentana Jakarta. This case is included installation principal, working procedure , teknical and economical benefitof the Fresh Water Generator, amount of operational costs and working optimalized with maintenance and repairing. The conclution that get in this final project are Fresh Water Generator is very efficient when applied to merchant ships such as vessel MT.Tanker Victory with this system the ship is capable to producing its own fresh water and fresh water used for Main Engine fresh water cooling, Auxiliary Engine Cooling System Boiler water and sanitation system.. For the total costs of fresh water is more cheap about Rp 36.279.360 per years with progress 5% than conventional system or supply harbour. Key words: Fresh Water Generator , teknic and economical benefit , supply harbour.
