Abstract

Saiful Arivin, 2016. Normalization performance governor to supportMain Engine on board. The final task, Program: Teknika, Diploma Program Sailing Hang Tuah Surabaya University, Supervisor:Ftahillah ATT-1 Keywords: Normalization, Performance, Governor, Main Engine. On the ship ALBA SAMUDRA where the author practice,theparent engine with 4-cylinder type 41 53 MCE Japan withtwo valves that suction valve and exhaust valve. In the working system, the valve opens at the urging of the push rod and upon closing of the impulse spring. With the stability of rotation using a governor that will work when the engine experienced over rotation when the ship experienced a shock that lifted the propeller propeller blades back, that's when the governor works to stabilize the engine rotation, the working principle of the governor is to regulate the entry of fuel when the engine is experiencing over-rotation or low rotation, by utilizing components - components in the governor through the process of balance / balancy.Results of fuel supply enough on the main engine to stabilize the engine speed is connected with the rotation of the camshaft and connect to reg fuel regulate fuel supply from the injection pump to the injector, it can run normally when the governor under normal circumstances and the performance is stable. To maintain the performance of the governor in order to remain stable it is necessary to invent periodic maintenance and checks in accordance with the working hours and view of the condition and performance, therefore we during the practice sailing on the ship ALBA SAMUDRA often experience problems in the treatment a test governor, especially in terms of spare parts that are difficult to get the governor, and the governor often run into trouble if the solution is to replace one set of the new governor or recondisi is still good. From here we take up this as a written work, hopefully get a response and a good appreciation of all people involved in this case we as cadets and for lecturers and examiners, as well as friends cadets others, hopefully description and discussion that we attach be viable material in test and can be useful for us as writers and all cadets mechanical engineering course.
