Abstract

Operation, Maintenance and Repair of AC Chilled Water Plant To Support the Comfort of The Crew in SIMORE KM. PT. Janata Marina Indah Semarang The function of the AC Chilled Water Plant is to cool the air media, where the air is stopped or flowed in the evaprator chiller, after which air is flowed into the AHU (Air Handing Unit) to be cooled by blowering, then open every day on every ship shipment . There are several cooling systems that are used, but the vapor compression refrigeration system is cooling a commonly used because it is easy to implement and easy to analyze its effectiveness. This system consists of a compressor, expansion valve, condenser and evaporator. In cold water factory AC systems that often occur leakage in the pipe connection, this causes the circulated water to be reduced and will have an impact on the AC to be not cold and even excessive. An easy way to find leaks is by connecting the parts of the connection pipe on the air conditioner by pouring soap foam on the part of the connection between the pipes, if the pipe joints come out the bubble is where there is a leak. After finding out the parts of the leaked pipe must be immediately patched with copper weld on the leaked part, it is agreed to be checked again by filling the freon and full of manifold needles whether the needle is moving or fixed, if the needle remains unavailable.
