Abstract

Fresh water cooling system is a system that serves to keep the engine, so that the engine temperature in ideal conditions. Freshwater cooling systems are necessary and necessary. Based on the heat balance on the engine then the cooling function on the machine becomes important. The heat karma to be absorbed by the cooling system can reach 32%. Therefore, damage to the cooling system is due to corrosion, crust and blockage factors in freshwater cooling pipes. And to overcome the occurrence of damage it is necessary to repair the fresh water cooling pipe, what if the components can not be repaired is recommended to replace the damaged components with new components. Proper treatment of freshwater cooling pipes follows the procedures of the manual book, it is necessary to check on freshwater cooling pumps, pipe connections, pipe coating paint, at least dug sate times for freshwater cooling system maintenance. After repair and maintenance with the correct procedure, it is expected that the freshwater cooling pipe can work optimally. With optimally fresh water storage system, of course the performance of the parent machine will increase and the main engine can operate with a maximum, It is expected that the maintenance activities can be routinely done. In order for the freshwater cooling system to work optimally. Keywords: Cooling water system.
