Abstract

PERAWATAN DAN PERBAIKAN OIL WATER SEPARATOR (OWS) UNTUK MENCEGAH TERJADINYA PENCEMARAN LAUT DI KM.BIRU PERKASA 2 PT.ANUGERAH BIRU PERKASA Disusun Oleh : TOTOK ROSIHAN AZWAR NRP.125020179 Oil Water Separator (OWS) the separation of oil and water, it is a tool equipment on board a vessel where the tool aims to reduce pollution and marine pollution, the system works to separate the two elements that are not mutually insoluble separated from each other because of differences in densities (density), in this case the fluid in question is oil and water, where the density of water is greater than the density of the oil so that when the separation process occurs the water will be at the bottom and the oil will be at the top. Maintenance and aircraft repair Oil Water Separator (OWS) should be done according to the schedule set by the manufacturer or the aircraft maker. It aims to reduce the swelling berfunginya care costs due to a component, because the irregular schedule of maintenance and repair resulting damage to components increased. After performing maintenance and repairs on aircraft Oil Water Separator (OWS) periodically, consequently sewage water mixed with oil in the gutter or bilge into the ocean could reduce the pollution of the seas due to maintaining their mixture does not exceed 15 ppm oil content that has been set by MARPOL regulation 1973/1978. Keywords, Oil Water Separator (OWS), Pollution
