Abstract
Air compressor is a machine that works to compress air or gas. Usually used to suck air from the atmosphere used for the main engine or an auxiliary machine, cleanse the seachest and other dirt. In this case the authors do field projeckt on board KN. Karimun Jawa which has 3 (three) main air compressor and 1 (one) air booster (backup compressor). In this case the authors collect data with documentation methods, interviews, and observations. Data taken from the ship KN. Karimun Jawa. After being targeted to replace in shake the machines. to support the ship's net. The result of this paper is to know how the Air Compressor works, repairings and maintenace. It is expected that maintenance should be for 3 months, to know how the work and parts of the compressor, it will be used or replaced. Keywords: Air compressor, maintenance, and repair.
