Abstract
Transportation is the movement of people from one place to another with or without the means. Along with the development of the epoch characterized by population growth, and increasingly sophisticated technology resulted in transportation also develop due to the needs of each person or individual. The addition of transport amounts is a feature of a developing country. Every developing country has a problem that is Traffic Congestion. In Indonesia is a developing country so as not to escape from traffic jams. The formulation of the problem, the purpose of the research and the hypothesis in this study is to analyze whether there is a positive influence either partially or individually and simultaneously between independent variables namely Economic Growth, Roads, Side Barriers and Traffic Flow to the dependent variable that is Traffic Congestion. In this study, the objects taken are all motorists passing through the Siliwangi road in Semarang. The sample in this research is 100 respondents. Data analysis technique is Multiple Linear Regression Technique. Using Mosel Quota Sampling. Based on the results of research and multiple analysis generated equation: Y = 0,944 + 0,451.X1 + 0,179.X2 + 0,199.X3 + 0,257.X4 + µ The result of multiple linear regression equation shows that there is positive and significant influence between economic growth on traffic congestion that is t arithmetic (5,926)> t table (1,98498), and between road segment to traffic congestion that is t arithmetic 2,393)> t table (1,98498), and between side barriers to traffic congestion that is t count (3,441)> t table (1,98498) and between traffic flow to traffic congestion that is t count (2,689)> t Table (1.98498). Given the significant influence persen means that the better economic growth, roads, side barriers and traffic flow will increase traffic congestion. While other factors that influence the traffic jam contribute 47.1%. Keywords: Economic Growth, Roads, Side Barriers, Volume of Traffic, Traffic Congestion.
