Abstract

The lubrication system is a regular way of working between the main parts of lubrication with lubricating oil for lubrication. Lubrication system consists of two types, namely dry lubrication system and wet lubrication system. Lubrication system in cadet type practice type dry lubrication system is a lubrication system where the oil tank is placed outside the engine, (Sump Tank) so the crank room is always dry. Dry lubrication system consists of several parts, including pumps, filters, coolers, and Purifiers. The operation of the lubrication system begins with oil lifted from the oil bath (charter), by a hiaspan, from an oil pump driven by a rotating gear coupled to a crankshaft rotation, through a suction pipe. From the oil pump, channeled through the divider, then flowed to a cooling medium, and arrived to the parent machine. (W.J.S. Poerwadarminta,2010) In order to maintain the performance of the host machine, it is necessary to do maintenance and check the lubrication system. Treatments include: maintenance of lubricants, maintenance of lubricant oil coolers, and other treatments. After treatment has been done, it is expected that the engine performance remains optimal because of regular maintenance has been done. Keywords: Oil, Oil Pump, Filter, Cooler, Purifier.
