Abstract
NRP: 135120125 The ejector pump in the fresh water generator consists of 2 main parts namely the electro part of the motor and the mechanical part. The ejector pump has an important role in the supply of seawater to fresh water generator. Electro motor as a rotary driver in the mechanical part of the pump has the working principle of converting electrical energy into mechanical energy. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which the analysis of electro motor overload of ejector pump on the aircraft auxiliary fresh water generator on board. The results of this study were conducted on board KM. UNEI owned by PT. SIMEULUE, during the twelve-month period of five days ie from July 5, 2016 until July 10, 2017. Data sources obtained are primary data obtained directly from the place of study and secondary data obtained from the literature related to the title. The results obtained from this study indicate that the overload of electro motor ejector pump and maintenance on the aircraft auxiliary fresh water generator impact on the vacuum system is not successful so that freshwater production on board stalled.
