Abstract

OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE FOPURIFIER AT MT. GAMKONORA PT. PERTAMINA (PERSERO) According to Jackson and Marton (1977), the notion of a purifier is an auxiliary plane used for separating two different liquids of its kind. On the ship purifier serves to clean the fuel from liquid or solid (mud) so that damage to the engine due to the use of fuel that is not clean can be reduced. Fuel Oil purifier on the ship is one of the auxiliary machines that have a very important role to produce clean fuel.According to Suharto, (1991) care is an attempt to maintain the durability and perfection of a piece of equipment, which the equipment must always be in good condition and ready to use. Damage to the membrane reducing valve resulting in over flow in Fuel Oil Purifier, bowl rotation does not work well affect the performance of Fuel Oil Purifier.The purpose of this discussion of purifier is to deepen the understanding of the causes and how to repair the broken reducing valve membrane resulting in over flow and maintaining the bowl components for optimal purifier performance so that the damage to the Fuel Oil Purifier can be minimized.
