Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of discipline, motivation and communication, partially and simultaneously on the performance of employees in the DALTIB (pengendalian and ketertiban) section of Semarang city. The population in this study were employees in the DALTIB section (pengendalian and ketertiban) in Semarang city with a sample of 80 respondents. The sampling technique used is non propability sampling with a type of sampling that is jenuh sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The data is analyzed using linear regression analysis with the help of version 23 SSPS software.The results of this study indicate that the variables of discipline, motivation and communication have a partial and simultaneous effect on employee performance. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained the equation : Y = 1,414 + 0,356X1 + 0,313X2 + 0,231X3 + μ From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing employee performance is a disciplinary variable of 0.356. And the R2 (R Square) test results obtained at 0.670 which means that the performance of employees in the DALTIB (control and order) section of the Semarang city transportation department is influenced by variables of discipline, motivation and communication that is equal to 67% and other factors that affect employee performance in the DALTIB (control and order) at the transportation department of Semarang city is 33%.
