Abstract
Port is a place consisting of land and waters around it with certain limits as government activities and economic activities that are used as a place for ships leaning, anchoring, boarding passengers and / or loading and unloading goods equipped with shipping safety facilities and port support activities , and as a place of transportation. Work safety is important for companies or ports, because the impact of workplace accidents is not only detrimental to the workforce, but the company either directly or indirectly. This study aims to determine the effect of knowledge, work training, risk behavior, and use of personal protective equipment, partially on loading and discharging work safety (Case Study at Tanjung Emas Port Semarang). The population in this study were all loading and unloading labor (TKBM) at Tanjung Emas Port Semarang with a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with a type of sampling that is simple random sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (Software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that knowledge, work training, risk behavior, and use of personal protective equipment variables partially affect loading and discharging work safety (Case Study at Tanjung Emas Port Semarang). The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained the equation Y = -2.004 + 0.286 X1 + 0.246 X2 + 0.253 X3 + 0.328 X4 + μ. From the regression equation it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing loading and discharging work safety is the variable use of personal protective equipment with a regression coefficient of 0.328. And the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.623) is 62.3%, knowledge variable coefficients, work training, risk behavior, and use of personal protective equipment have an effect on loading and discharging work safety. The coefficient of determination is 62.3% while the rest (100% - 62.3% = 37.7%) is influenced by other variables outside the research or outside the regression equation model.
