Abstract

In this study analyzed five variables of product research, promotion, price, process and place as independent variables that influence the dependent variable, namely interest in buying train tickets. The formulation of the problem, the purpose of the research and the hypothesis in this study is to analyze the positive and significant influence individually between the independent variables namely product, promotion, price, process and place on the dependent variable, namely the interest in buying train tickets. In this study the object taken was the passenger of the Blora Jaya Ekspres Semarang-Cepu train. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study were 100 respondents who were passengers of the Blora Jaya Ekspres train in the Semarang-Cepu route. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression techniques and with SPSS 22.0 statistical tools, based on the results of research and data analysis resulting in the regression equation: Y = 0,864 + 0,196X1 + 0,147X2 + 0,365X3 + 0,290X4 + 0,250X5 + µ The results of multiple linear regression equations show that there is a positive and significant effect partially between the products on the buying interest of train tickets (t count = 2.576> t table = 1.98552), promotion of buying tickets for train tickets (t count = 2.429> t table = 1.98552), the price of buying train ticket interest (t count = 4.323> t table = 1.98552), the process of buying train ticket interest (t count = 3.450> t table = 1.98552) and place to buy train ticket interest (t count = 2.504> t table = 1.98552) while determination coefficient gets R square value of 0.524 so 52.4% of interest in buying train tickets is explained by the 5 variables, while the remaining 47.6% is the influence of other variables not included in this study.
