Abstract

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE PURIFIER IN AHTS TRANSKO CELEBES Prepared by: Warseno NRP. 145220172 Purifier is an auxiliary plane which serves to separate oil, water and dirt by weight of substances that due to the centrifugal force. Purifier used in the ship there are two types of lubricating oil purifier and fuel purifier. Purifier works with centrifugal force, how it works is to fuel still contains impurities and water into the purifier and separated by a rotating bowl for their motorcycles, then oil, dirt and water and dirt will be thrown. Due to differences in specific gravity so dirt and grease will be thrown into Purifier wall and into the sludge tank, while oil will go into sevice tank (Jackson and Morton1977). In order to maintain the performance of the Purifier, it is necessary to do maintenance and checking. Purifier is very important because in the fuel system and also the performance of diesel engines, the maintenance and checks need to be done in order to fuel used for aircraft engine is maintained viscosity. The treatments include: treatment of the motor / elektromotor, maintenance of lubricating oil, maintenance on the faucet, and care for others. Check the size of gravity disc to prevent overtopping of fuel and also the cleaning disc of dirt on the outside and inside walls. Following the regular maintenance, it will be detected whatever the result of the treatment, such as: Keeping Fuel Oil Purifier work optimally, avoid overtopping fuel, avoid damaging the heavier / large, minimize damage to the Fuel Oil Purifier. Then from doing these treatments never happens overtopping fuel for installation errors gravity disc, the erosion gear connected to the motor and shaft, then viscosity lubricating oil must be maintained so as to lubricate the gear-gear perfectly and also round not a flashlight on the motor, so the rubber coupling must be maintained in order to keep the motor rotates with the stable.
