Abstract

PROCEDURE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE FRESH WATER GENERATOR ON MV. EVER PEACE PT. BLUE OCEAN SEJATI JAKARTA Arranged by: Maulana Ahasan NRP:1452.20.108 Fresh water generator on the ship is one of the Bantu machinery that can convert sea water into fresh water through a distillation process that has a very important role in the smooth operation of the ship, which in the operation of the vessel is inseparable from the need for fresh water. The purpose of this research is to find out the non-maximal cause of vacuum in the shell evaporator. This study was conducted when the authors undertook a marine project (prola) on board the MV. Ever Peace owned Evergreen Marine.co, ltd for 12 more months ie from March 17, 2017 to April 24, 2018. Source of data obtained is the data obtained directly from the place of research by observation method and direct interview with the head of the engine room (KKM), machinist and other crew members, especially crew of the ship machine and also the method of literature in the form of documents, instruction manual book and book -related books. The results obtained from this research is the occurrence of problems on the ejector pump, nozzle ejector and leakage vacuum installation on fresh water generator that is operating which resulted in a vacuum that is not maximal on the shell evaporator so that in the process of decreasing the boiling point does not achieve maximum results Keywords: Salinometer, Ejector Pump, Nozzle Ejector, Distillation Pump
