Abstract
Sea Water Cooling System Maintenance Machine In Tug Boat Murai Transko PT. Pertamina Transkotinental Cilacap Branch Cooling is a medium that functions to absorb heat. The heat is obtained from the combustion of fuel in the cylinder. In the cooling system there are several components that work in a related way, among others: cooler, fresh water circulation pump, seawater pump, sea water strainer and sea chest. Of the four components that often cause less than the maximum cooling results for the Main Motor. In order for the main engine components to be maintained from heat, the heat from the engine work must be controlled by circulating cooling media with constant pressure throughout the main motor that must be cooled. The goal is to find out how to care for the cooling water system, find out the cause of damage to the sea water cooling system and find out the relationship between the cooling system and the main engine. If the cooling system works normally and maintenance of components is carried out periodically it will keep produce temperature engine with standart temperature 82°c-92°c.
