Abstract
Implementation loading of Urea Prill in bulk requires preventive action in order to avoid damage of charge and hold space from corrosion hazard due to charge which has corrosive to metal. On this basic, the writer try to formulate the problem of how the implementation loading of bulk urea prill in KM. Berkah 99 and to minimize the damage during the sailing. There is found a problem in the preparation of the hatch cover washing and Lime Coating activities, the limited amount of fresh water supply, the materials used for the manufacture of inappropriate Lime Coatings, and the lack of crew’s responsibility after the implementation of the activity and the positioning of the thermometer is only on one pipe, the sounding of the sewer water is done only one before deballasting of the sewer water, and the provision of ventilation of the hatch space which is not in accordance with the procedure. In this case it is concluded that the supply of materials does not match the order, the implementation of work that is less than the maximum, and efforts to minimize the damage of urea prill that is not in accordance with the procedure will result in the loading of urea prill not effectively and efficiently, as for the writer opinion is held briefing, with the hopes that the crew will be more awaring of their duties and responsibilities and establish good cooperative relationships between the company and the ship in terms of procurement of equipment and materials needed in the preparation of the hatch for receiving cargo payloads and maintenance the equipment during sailing.
