Abstract
Efforts to Optimize Flight Performance on Main Engines in KM. Dharma Kencana PT. Janata Marina Indah Starting Air is an auxiliary engine for the Starting Main Engine on board. According to (H. Nurdin) For the main engine on board, both 4-stroke and 2-stroke diesel air for this air engine start are produced from air compressors and are accommodated in air receiver. The working pressure for this pedestrian air starts from 25-30 bar pressure. Based on the background of the problem at Starting Air can be formulated the problem of air volume in the air receiver can be reduced and damage to the compressor. The purpose of this paper is to determine the air volume in air receiver and damage to the compressor. In this paper, it can be concluded that the cause of air volume is low because there is water deposition in the bottle so that the air pressure in the air receiver is not optimal and the cause of damage to the compressor due to continuous charging to the air receiverr can cause damage to the piston ring. affect the filling of air into a air receiver. And it is advisable to always carry out regular checks and maintenance on starting air components. Keywords: air, starting, air, receiver, compressor, maintenance.
