Abstract
In the procedure of loading and unloading coal from barge to ship Mv.mara at PT.Tirta Samudera Caraka, many important things that we can take and learn, so in writing this paper, the author describes the theory about the procedure of loading and unloading of coal , for loading and unloading of the loads can run well and smoothly because in carrying out loading and unloading greatly affect the stability of the ship to keep the ship in a state of upright and stable, the purpose in writing this paper is to know what processes are usually done so that the ship can be dock and unload without any obstacle. In carrying out loading and unloading many things to note, the most important thing is the safety of workers when loading and unloading coal, the purpose in writing this paper is to Discover the constraints in the preparation and implementation of loading and unloading coal from the barge to the ship in Mv. Mara, ie in preparation there are constraints such as the limited material for the maintenance of the hatch on the ship, so the hold often can not open and closed. Constraints during loading are less skilled crane operators, unavailability, vehicle loaders, poor communication between ships and crane operators. In this case it can be concluded that the lack of preparation at the time before carrying out loading and lack of supervision of personnel on board at the time of loading and unloading resulted in the implementation of loading and unloading coal is not optimal, the author's suggestion is that the company can pay more attention to the demand of the ship, in order to increase ship maintenance in preparation for coal expansion and dismantling, and then each crew further enhances supervision of heavy equipment at the time of loading and unloading of coal from barge to vessel Mv.mara takes place.
