Abstract
Operating System and Maintenance of Fresh Water Generators to Maximize Freshwater Production in KM. Dharma Kencana PT. Dok Janata Marina Indah Fresh Water Generator is a freshwater maker by evaporating seawater in the evaporator and the sea water vapor is cooled by condensation inside the Distillation / Condenser (Deward) plane, resulting in condensate water called condensate. Fresh Water Generator, is one of the important auxiliary planes on board, this is due to the function of fresh water that can be used to drink, cook, wash and even run other important machines that use fresh water as a cooling medium. some of the problems that the authors have described are the authors identifying the problem of decreasing the production of Fresh Water Generators and decreasing the amount of freshwater production. The purpose of this paper is to know the operating system and maintenance of work on Fresh Water Generators on board. And it is recommended to always carry out routine checks and treatments on the components of the Fresh Water Generator. After being treated on a plane to help Fresh Water Generator get water results in accordance with the provisions, namely salt content below 10 ppm.
