Abstract

Driving safety issues in general in Indonesia are still often overlooked. This is indicated by the still increasing number of accidents while driving. Common problems with driving safety also occur frequently. Driving safety aims to create conditions that support the safety of motorbike riders, especially on the streets of Jepara, there are many factors that affect driving safety such as relating to driver behavior, road conditions, vehicle completeness, vehicle condition, road environment. In this study three research variables will be analyzed, namely driver behavior, road conditions and vehicle completeness as independent variables and driving safety as the dependent variable. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the positive influences both individually and simultaneously between the independent variables of driver behavior, road conditions and vehicle completeness towards the dependent variable is driving safety. In this study the object taken was a motorcycle rider on the road to Welahan, Jepara. Data sources include primary data and secondary data. The sample in this study were 100 respondents. The technical data analysis is multiple linear regression techniques. Based on the results of research and multiple analysis, the equation is produced: Y = 1,345 + 0,366 X1 + 0,304 X2 + 0,280X3 + µ The results of multiple regression studies indicate that there is a partial positive influence on driving behavior on driving safety (t count 4.364> t table 1.984), road conditions for driving safety (tcount 4.129> t table 1.984) and complete vehicle safety driving (tcount 3.318> t table 1.984) . The influence of the three research variables is very strong with adjusted value of R2 = 0.556. Simultaneously, driver behavior variables, road conditions and vehicle completeness have an effect on 55.6% of driving safety and 44.4% are influenced by research variables that were not detected in this study. Keywords: driver behavior, road conditions, vehicle completeness and driving safety.
