Abstract
Operation and Maintenance of Cargo Screw Pump for Streamlining Loading and Unloading on MT Ships. Samara PT Dock Citra Bahari Shipyard II Screw pump is a pump used to handle liquids that have high viscosity, are heterogeneous, sensitive to friction and liquid which is easily foaming. The working principle of a screw pump was discovered by a French engineer named Rene Moineau, so it is often referred to as Moineau Pump, in the 30s and continues to be developed until now. The purpose of the writing is to understand the handling of damage that occurs if the cargo screw pump installation does not work normally, to understand the correct operation method in accordance with the procedure and also maintenance of the cargo screw pump to prevent damage. The results of maintenance and operation according to the procedure will cause the screw pump to drain fluids smoothly, there is no leakage or lack of pump suction power.
