Abstract
CAUSES OVERLOAD HAPPENED FOR ELECTRO MOTOR OVERLOAD AT FRESH WATER GENERATOR PUMP ON MT. SINAR JOHOR. Ejector pump in fresh water generator is consist of 2 main parts they are electro motor and mechanic part. The electro motor part have vital jester for supplying sea water into fresh water generator. Electro motor as rotation mover in mechanic part of pump have work principle to change the electric energy become mechanic energy.The overload on the electro motor on the ejector pump is caused by the excess heat bearing, due to the connection to the center of the of the motor with the pump unconcentraced , the gland packing is too tight and the spindle is difficult to spin.The mechanical part of the pump there is a narrowing of the flow at the pump compressive part motor part the unbalanced phase open phase so that the motor runs only with 2 phase.The part motor will continue to spin but does not have the power over time the motor will become hot which can cause the overload.
