Abstract

Electro Motor (Electro Motor) is an electromagnetic device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. This mechanical energy is used to rotate the pump impeller, fan or blower, move the compressor, lift material, etc. Electric motors are also used at home (mixers, electric drills, fans) and in industry. Electric motors are sometimes called industrial "work horses" because it is estimated that motors use about 70% of the total electricity load in the industry. The three phase electric motor performance test aims to obtain the performance curve of power, torque and efficiency. The material/test equipment studied was a three-phase electric motor with a lamp load on the generator of 2500 watts and connected to a regulator which was gradually increased from 0 watts to 250 with the assumption to find out the differences in torque, power and speed. The test steps for this three-phase electric motor performance start from preparing the machine/test equipment, heating the engine for five minutes, turning on the load, raising the regulator from 0 watts to 250 watts, recording all the results of the experiment, processing the test results and analyzing the test result data. The results obtained from testing are the maximum power obtained at 2846 Rpm rotation of 1032.08 Watt. Maximum torque is obtained at 2846 Rpm for 3,464 Nm and maximum efficiency is obtained at 2941 Rpm for 72.68%. To get high efficiency in the use of three-phase electric motors, efforts are made to ensure that the source voltage that comes inmatches the maximum voltage capacity of themotor.
