Abstract
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF PURIFIER FUEL OIL TO INCREASING FUEL QUALITY IN MT. TRANSKO BIMA Purifier is an auxiliary machinery that serves to separate dirt, mud and water mixed in oil / fuel based on centrifugal force, The way the purifier works is identical to the gravity that the process is supported by centrifugal force so the separation process is very fast. Centrifugal force acceleration is between 6000-7000 times greater than static gravity deposition. In each motor, Boiler and Incinerator that uses fuel as a source of energy, burners and lubricants to prevent damage due to friction. The use of fuel, lubricating oil and maintenance must be considered and maintained. The purpose of this treatment is to ensure that the fuel and oil are lubricated in its use does not affect the working power of the motor, the combustion process and lubrication. To avoid the occurrence of a problem with motors, boilers and incinerators, a fuel cleaning system is started which starts when the fuel is in a double bottom tank, settling in settling and service tanks, while lubricating oil has been in settling and service tanks. Purifier cleaning is done with a rotary motion system (centrifugal), if centrifugal power is rotated several thousand times the rotation in a certain time then the energy will be more than the gravitational and static forces. The purpose of the discussion about this purifier is to deepen understanding and explore the working principles of the purifier and the effect of using gravity discs and not maximizing rotation on the purity of fuel and clean lubricating oil. Key words: Operation, Maintenance, Fuel Efficiency.
