Abstract
Employee performance is the end result of work from the process that has been carried out by an employee in a certain period, using ideas and efforts to achieve the objectives of official work. This study aims to determine the effect of Communication, Discipline, and competence partially on the performance of employees at the Transportation Department of Trenggalek Regency. The population in this research is all employees in the Transportation Department of Trenggalek Regency, the sampling technique used is propability sampling with a type of sampling that is simple random sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data were analyzed using a linear regression analysis with the help of (Software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SSPS). The results of this study indicate that the variables Communication, Discipline, and competence have a partial effect on employee performance. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained the equation Y = 1,222 + 0,189 X1 + 0,241X2 + 0,202 X3 + μ. From the multiple linear regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing employee performance is the Discipline variable with regression coefficient of 0.214 and Adjusted R Square test of 0.668 or 66.8% which means that employee performance is influenced by communication, discipline , and 66.8% competence and other factors that influence employee performance in addition to the factors studied are 33.2%.
