Abstract
Maintenace And Turbocharger Repairn In Improving Perfomance of Main Engine Turbocharger is an equipment, to add power and perfect in combustion by utilizing exhaust gas pressure energy. If previously air intake relies on a vacuum formed due to the piston movement in the suction step, then with the air turbocharger pressed into the cylinder using a compressor that is rotated by a flue gas turbine. In order to maintain the performance of the turbocharger, it is necessary to do maintenance and checking. Once the importance of the role of turbocharger in supporting the performance of diesel engines, it is necessary to check and maintain the maximum performance of the parent machine. Treatments include maintenance of lubricating oils, turbine side treatments, and other treatments. Checking the intercooler must also be done to determine whether the air produced blower really good. Cleaning the blower is also important to keep the air incoming turbocharger so that no foreign objects come in. After periodic maintenance, it will detect anything that results from maintenance, the cause of damage, and the solution of turbocharger damage. From these results are expected to similar damage does not occur again because it has found a solution.
