Abstract
Lubrication Systems (Lubrication System) Lubricating oil at a machining system acts to minimize friction on the surface of the components that move and intersect. Besides lubricating oil also serves as a cooling fluid on some motors. Because in this case diesel motors that are used in motor types with large capacity lubrication, the lubrication system for the mechanical parts of the motor or pump assisted with lubricant. This system is used to cool and lubricate bearings and cool the piston engine Work principle Lubricating oil sucked from lub. oil sump tank by a screw or centrifugal-type pump through a suction filter and fed to the main diesel engine through the second filter and lub. oil cooler. Oil out of the cooler temperature is automatically controlled at a constant level that is determined to obtain a suitable viscosity with desirable at the inlet of the main diesel engine. Then lub. oil supplied to the main engine bearings and also fed back to the lub. oil sump tank. In general, the lubricated parts in diesel motors are all parts that rub against each other, for example: a. Between the piston and the cylinder tube b. Between the shaft with shaft bearings c. Between gears and other
