Abstract
One of the purposes of shipping lines cargo transportation by the sea are quickly and safely to their destination so that the company will benefit greatly as to which has been set by the company. To facilitate the loading and unloading of the port to ship and from the ship to the port, loading and unloading equipment is one of the most important factor to ensure the loading and unloading activities at the port . On the ship KM. NEW TRANS places where the author implement PROLA ( sea practice ) , has two (2 ) hold hatch where both of them has not the same magnitude, and in each respective hatch is equipped with loading and unloading equipment , namely : Single Boom Type SWL 25 tonnes . Given the important role of loading and unloading equipment on the vessel, then the equipment on a regular basis should always be treated well . With the regular maintenance is expected to loading and unloading equipment is always in a good condition and always ready for use. Keywords : loading and unloading, port of sea
