Abstract

The turbocharger is a device, to increase the amount of air enters the cylinder by harnessing the energy of the exhaust gas pressure. If previously relied on air intake vacuum formed because the piston movement in the intake stroke, then by air Turbocharger pressed into the cylinders using a compressor that is rotated by the exhaust gas turbine. So important role in supporting Turbocharger diesel engine performance, it is necessary to check and maintenance in order to stem fixed maximum engine performance. it needs to be checked and maintenance in order to stem fixed maximum engine performance. The treatment includes: 1. Maintenance of the lubricating oil 2. Maintenance on the turbine 3. Maintance compressor side, as well as other treatments. Checking the intercooler was required in order to determine whether the air generated turbocharger really good. Clean the air filter is also important to preserve the cleanliness of the air entering the turbocharged so that no foreign objects come inside Some of the factors supporting the smooth operation of the turbocharger including treatment of lubricating oil, checking of leeway blades Some of the major cause to damage the turbocharger 1. Maintenance and overhaul overhauled passing through the schedule. 2. Use / replacement with spare parts that are not original. 3. Treatment was not done by a contractor who is recognized by its manufacturer. 4. Instructions maintenance (service letters) is no longer on board. 5. Incorrect operation.
