Abstract

Accu is a tool used to convert chemical energy into electrical energy. Often considered the battery is an electric storage device, this is less true. The true is that as a chemical storage the battery energy. Accu composed of cells. Each cell consists of a plate or the positive pole and the pole negative. So, the battery is a combination of two or more cells and form a “battery” or bateray - bateray means a combination of tools similar and form a unity. Accu is an important tool in the electrical system on board, because the battery is not only a source of backup power, if an interruption in the electrical system of the generator, but the battery is also used for everyday purposes. Accu can immediately supply electrical energy at any time required, and this is the excess of the battery to the other device as a source of reserve energy ready to use, so Solas (1960) giving full recognititon, that the battery power source ready made is an essential requirement for ships ocean.
