Abstract

PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) is one of the SOE (State Owned Enterprises) which is engaged in port services. The company has 18 branch offices and Tanjung Perak Port is the one of branch office of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero). Tanjung Perak is one of the largest port in Indonesia has a strategic value and has potential as a port collector of natural resources coming from the rear area / hinterland sizeable and growing. Therefore the role of the Port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya become quite important for the activities of International trade (export-import), to encourage trade in the country and efforts for regional development and economic growth in East Java province in particular, as well as the eastern part of Indonesia in general. One of the activities or facilities PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) branch of Tanjung Perak Surabaya is a dry bulk loading and discharging activities in Jamrud Terminal. Loading and discharging is the movement of goods activities of marine transport modes to land transport modes or vice versa, loading and discharging activities consist of stevedoring (loading and discharging to and from ships). Cargodoring (surgical removal of the goods from the dock). Receiving (receiving goods from the vehicle in front of the door of the warehouse / yard until the goods are arranged in the warehouse / yard). Delivery (deliver goods from stacking in warehouse / field until arrayed on top of vehicles). Discharging of dry bulk cargo carried in Jamrud Terminal demolition truck is losing . Dry bulk cargo is cargo that consists of a collection of dried granules are not packed shipped at once in large quantities . By preparing well all loading and unloading activities from planning to operations, then the discharging of dry bulk activities in Jamrud Terminal will be done well. The obstacles that occur when activities could be resolved in accordance systems and procedures established by PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) branch of Tanjung Perak Surabaya.
