Abstract
PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang is a shipping company engaged in the Sea Cargo Ship (EMKL), PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang is one of the shipping service provider that operates in the field logostik or export - import. In dealing with the export of furniture PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang choose a time near the time of departure of the ship, it’s so done to avoid the lengthy use of trucking and to avoid the cost demurage imposed by the Container Terminal Semarang (TPKS). From the research that has been done with the author, it can be concluded that export procedures are carried out by PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang consists of stages correspondence manufacture of commercial contracts (sales contract), the manufacture of L/C, preparation of export goods carried by the shipper, loading goods into containers, registration of notification of export of goods (PEB), booking space ship, shipping goods to port , inspection of Customs and Excise, to loading onto the ship. In order for import-export activities to run smoothly should the service users must comply with all procedures and regulations that exist or information was given by PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang, in order to avoid an error or trigger delays in the export process. Keywords: export settlement procedures
