Abstract
This paper was created with the aim to find out the shipping agency conducted by PT. SPIL branch Manokwari, where the agent in charge of clerance in and clerance out the ship when the ship came and ship out of the harbor, as well as perform a service of what is needed by the vessel, such as charging freshwater, extension documents ships are almost dead and etc. To achieve the goals in writing, the author uses the method of observation, interviews and others to determine the agency at PT. SPIL branch of Manokwari, the process clerance in and clerance out, an agent must submit a written request, either mail the arrival of the ship, a letter of application if the movement of ships, a letter of application loading / unloading of dangerous goods, letter of application for the approval of sailing, and others, are addressed good for KSOP, PT. PELINDO, Quarantine, PBM, and others. In doing duty ship agency ibstansi relevant agencies such as the harbormaster's office and the port authority (KSOP) which is responsible for managing all activities at the port, PT. PELINDO charge of providing facilities at ports, stevedoring company in charge of loading and unloading of goods on board, quarantine in the service filings made by PT.
