Abstract
In the world of shipping lines we know several issues, one of which is in this case the shipping agency that has the duty and authority are part of the agency. In the shipping company PT. Dasa Karindo Utama Semarang as part of the agency is one of the main supporting companies for each vessel to be leaning to the particular interests should first contact the agent appointed pursuant to the company that handles the ships in port. Agent is a representative of a company because the company does not have any branches on local port. Agents here are not as an intermediary, but just take care of fully or instructions by foreign shipping companies to take care of the need or interest ship and crew of the company. In terms of agency services means a shipping company as a seller of services and serves as a sub agent must provide shipping services to the public agency to serve ships that on his agencies. Agents working on the instructions of the owneror as the owner (disponent owner) to take care of the ship during loading and unloading at the local port to be compensated by the designating party.
