Abstract
The purpose of writing this paper is to explain the Harbour Master of Class II Tanjung Pinang In Maritime Safety Task Harbour Master and how to Improve the Safety and Shipping. Monitoring carried out in the framework of setting Harbour Master infrastructure operational implementation of sea transportation is very important. In the care of the duties in addition to improving the safety of shipping Harbour Master also issued a Port Clearance (SPB) that the proposed by the shipping agent before the ship left or will leave the port area, actions in doing it is to improve oversight of security and safety to the things that associated with shipping. In undergoing Harbour Master of class II Tanjung Pinang there are several obstacles such as delays in shipping agent in applying for ship navigation, the application for Port Clearance (SPB), the document is not complete and Certificates ship ships expired. Then the agent must take care of the documents and pay a fine in order to get permission to sail boats from the Harbour Master.
