Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is made up of islands and most of its territory is the sea. It is this factor that makes shipping as a means of transportation is important in the world of international trade. All exports and imports of maritime nations largely appointed by ships or services of shipping companies that trade flows do not run into many obstacles. Given the brown fiber needs from day to day increasing and increasingly rapid development of industry that require brown fiber as the manufacture of household furnishings, Indonesia needs to import brown fiber from other countries to meet all the needs in the country. The main problem in this paper is how brown fiber demolition activities conducted by PT. Sapta Tirta PBM Samodra can running as efficiently as possible so that the marketing of brown fiber in a region, and the need for brown fiber in companies will be fulfilled. The purpose of this research study is to find out about the activities of the dismantling of brown fiber, to determine which agencies are involved in the loading of brown fiber, as well as to determine what documents are needed for the loading of brown fiber. In writing this paper, the writing method used is the study of documents and field research when (PRADA) for 4 months in stevedoring company PT. Sapta Tirta PBM Samodra Semarang. From the results of this study concluded that the agencies involved in the loading and unloading of brown fiber in the port is port health office, the directorate general of customs and excise (DJBC) Tanjung Emas in Semarang, department of trade and industry, labor, loading and unloading (TKBM). In the activity for loading or unloading brown fiber will require dismantling documents and supporting documents to conduct the loading or unloading of goods at the port.
