Abstract
The geographical situation of Indonesia as an archipelagic nation where the vast oceans larger than its land area, then the transportation by sea more dominant connecting cities and islands in the nation. In harmony with the role of the transport as a means of transport which transport goods from one island to another island by sea. To support the sea transportation is needed additional facilities, such as ports. Ports are places which consists of land and waters with certain limits, which the government and economic activities take place. Activities involving the ships rests, anchored, up and down passengers, loading and unloading of goods, shipping safety facilities, as well as the displacement of intra and inter-modal transport. One of the sub-systems of the port is the container terminal. Where, Terminals / Ports is the meeting place (interface) between land and sea transport modes. Seaport is responsible for the removal container of land transport modes into the sea or vice versa, but this activity is derived from transportation activities so that the smooth flow of seaport Container is more influenced by external factors such as: 1) Delayed ships entered the Port, because of various factors such as changes of weather, tidal conditions, the transfer of a sudden, or damage and others; 2) Delayed entry Container to seaport, is also due to various things, for example, accidents, traffic jams, or the document is not yet complete, and others; 3) The extent yard Container; and 4) Damage facilities such as crane, shuttle truck, Container stacker, and others.
