Abstract

Understanding unloading activity is an activity of the process of loading and unloading activity is one of several types of activities carried out daily routine at any port. Loading and unloading activities aims to move the cargo from the ship to the pier or vice versa. For people general, it looks simple because from the outside dock area can be seen how activity implemented without knowing the procedures as appropriate. In fact, the stevedoring company (PBM) is one of the most essential in the process mode of sea trade in the national and international scale. Without a stevedoring company (PBM), loading and unloading activities would not be possible. From here the authors are interested to try to explain how the stages that must be implemented in the handling of loading the waste to implement the Army Practices in stevedoring company (PBM) PT. Persero Batam. This is done so that the general public can gain insight into the stevedoring company (PBM) or may in the future be able to establish cooperation for companies that require the services of unloading anywhere.
