Abstract
The current container at Port of Lembar is increased. The increase occured after the arrival of two new units of loading an unloading equipments, the type of fixed crane in mid-February 2015 ago. The volume of containerized freight through the Port of Lembar continues to increase from year to year. The use of these new tools will take the operation more quickly, effectively, and efficiently. This paper is made to find out how the development and improvement of the current container in PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Branch of Lembar NTB. This study use two sources of data, primary, and secondary, in the form of observation of the process of loading and unloading of containers. Design study conducted using servey methods or directly to the location of the research in order to obtain accurate data and information. In teh process of loading and unloading container begins with the receipt documents the unloading of the shipping company, then telly field officers working with the ship inspect and monitor the movement of crane and head truck cranes. In the loading and unloading of container there are guidelines that bay plan. In the loading and unloading of containers also occurs barriers that interfere with the loading and unloading of containers, lack of discipline with respect to time, the lack of documents at the time of loading and unloading arrangements, lack of equipment, inaccuraciesship arrival time, the weather is erratic.The total cost of arising during any activity unloading: container 20”, total cost container full: Rp 1.377.607,00, total cost empty container: Rp 571.167,00. Container 40”, total cost container full: Rp 2.119.171,00, total cost empty container: Rp 866.717,00. Keywords: Increased of the flow of containers, Loading and unloading process, constraints.
