Abstract
In 1986 began Stevedoring Company established in various ports in Indonesia, including stevedoring company PT. Sarana Bandar Nasional (PT. SBN) was established on March 31, 1986. As for PT. Means National Airport is a subsidiary of PT. National Shipping Indonesia (PT. PELNI) is one of the leading shipping companies in Indonesia that provides loading discharge of goods from and onto the ship. Services provided by PT. Means National Airport is only serving the process of loading discharge cargo. One type of cargo handled is kind of cargo General Cargo. My aim is to know the process of loading glass handling at the Port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang. The method used in making this paper is the method of observation (Observation), the method of interview (Interview), the method of documentation, literature study. In the handling is done in accordance with the procedures specified by the relevant parties such as the owner of the goods, the stevedoring company, Shipping Agents, Kesyahbandaran Office and Port Authority (KSOP), PT.Pelindo, Cooperative Stevedoring (KTKBM). Writer can also add a lot of insight into the process of handling loading discharge process from the beginning to get appointment letter (SPK) to complete loading discharge process.
