Abstract
Implementation of development in Indonesia whose main goals in the field of economic development, the trading activity is one of the sectors of economic development always is grown role. To facilitate the flow of goods and services to support the trading activities, needed adequate means of transport is by sea. In a system that is Stevedoring Cargo Handling, Cargodoring and Receiving. Of all stages of the process is the most widely cargodoring spent unloading, so the cost of logistics in Indonesia is high. PT.Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero) branch Dumai is a stevedoring company (PBM) responsible for the loading and unloading of goods in the process, both the damage to the goods, shortages of goods as well as the loss of cargo. In the implementation of the process of unloading the container can be several obstacles that natural factors, Human Resources (HR), transport, and security conditions of the goods at the port. To overcome these obstacles then PT.Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero) Dumai branch must have a skilled workforce and provide adequate equipment so as to facilitate the loading and unloading activities in accordance with the plan.
