Abstract
Traffic accidents are accidental road events involving vehicles with or without other road users, resulting in losses for the victims. Increasing the number of victims in an accident is something that is undesirable by various parties, given how valuable a person's life is that is difficult to measure by anything. This is very alarming if strategic steps are not taken to improve safety and legal compliance with traffic in the community. Therefore, there needs to be an analysis to look for any factors that affect traffic accidents. This study aims to analyze the influence of independent variables namely human error, vehicle conditions, road conditions on the dependent variable, namely traffic accidents on the Majapahit road in Semarang. Data sources include primary data and secondary data. The sample in this study were 100 respondents who were motorized vehicle users who passed the Majapahit road in Semarang. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The formulation of regression in this study is as follows: Y = 0.830 + 0.259X1 + 0.171X2 + 0.512X3 + µ The results of multiple regression studies indicate that there is a partially positive effect on human error on traffic accidents (tcount 3.321> t table 1.98472), vehicle conditions on traffic accidents (t count 2.259> t table 1.98472) and road conditions on traffic accidents (tcount 6.606> table 1.98472). The influence of the three research variables is quite strong with the correlation value of adjusted R2 = 0.472. Keywords: human error, vehicle condition, road condition.
