Abstract
Services is one of the main tasks of the government, including transportation services. Transportation is very important for the man in her life because of the absence of transport activities carried inhibited. The problems raised in this research is how the process of ships in Port of Indonesia one (Persero) branch Dumai. Paper aims to describe how the process of service provided by the Port of Indonesia one (Persero) branch Dumai to users of transport services boats. To find the service process, the author uses several methods of research that uses qualitative method with descriptive type. And data collection is done by in-depth interviews and documentation study. Data analysis was performed using the technique of triangulation of data sources, namely by reducing the data, presenting data, verification and final draw conclusion of the study. In addition, this study also tested the validity of the data obtained by comparing the information / data with secondary data, and compare the information with the relevant theory. In the process of ships in PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero) Branch Dumai, there are several kinds of service process that is process of ships entering or anchoring, Process service scouting, in service aboard the document - the document required that Manifest, Shipping intruction, Daily Working Report, PKK, RPKOP, AEOS , Within the scope of the SIM (Management Information System) ports, there are some parts of the SIM which there are SIM Operations, SIM Finance, SIM Personnel and General, and SIM technique, for institutions involved in the service of the vessel that is harbor master, Customs, Shipping Company, PBM Agents, and EMKL.
